Speed of the Acura TLX
The Acura TLX is available with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 or a 3.0-liter turbo V-6 engine. The base engine produces 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, up 66 horsepower and 100 pound-feet from last year’s TLX and 13 pound-feet more than the outgoing V-6.
While Acura hasn’t specified a 0-60 mph time, it should be in the high 5-second range, making it faster than the previous V-6. Thanks to the smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission, the turbo makes the power available early and keeps it on tap. The only drawback is an unnecessarily noisy exhaust note, which might be enjoyed by enthusiasts in Sport mode.
The Type S model will have a 3.0-liter V-6 engine that produces 355 horsepower and should achieve a 0-60 mph time in the mid-to-high 4-second range.

Acura merged the former TSX and TL models to create the first TLX for the 2015 model year, but that has changed with this redesign.
