Indiaâ€™s first LNG bus by Tata Motors. Fuel carrying capacity of LNG bus is 2.5 times more than CNG bus
The fuel carrying capacity of an LNG bus is up to 2.5 times more than CNG bus. The mileage on on one full tank is up to 600-700 kilometers. LNG buses are lighter in weight offering various weight related advantages. Lower pressure and quick evaporation of LNG reduces the chance of fire hazard and is safer mode of transport. The Starbus LNG has been engineered and built by Tata Motors for the Indian market.
First delivery of the LNG bus by Tata Motors
Tata Motors delivered country’s first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) powered buses to LNG Petronet Limited in Dahej, Kochi and Kochi, Kerala. The Starbus LNG offers a value advantage by providing a clean, safe, affordable and comfortable mode of mass transport.
Mr. Rohit Srivastava, Vice President, Product Line â€“ Buses, Tata Motors, said, that this is a leap forward in alternate fuel technologies. Tata’s LNG technology is also a step towards energy security of the nation.
